ALAS Scholarship

Now Accepting Applications

The Association of Latino Administrators and Superintendents (ALAS) will recognize Latino administrators for their leadership by providing assistance toward an advanced degree in education. ALAS is awarding one (1) $10,000 scholarship to the top ALAS member candidate. The scholarship is available to all current dues paying ALAS members seeking to continue their advanced degree program in education in a college or university with the goal of becoming a superintendent!

Eligibility & How to Apply

  • Applicants must be a current dues-paying member of ALAS National
  • Applicants must be currently enrolled in, or accepted into, an advanced degree program in education (subject to verification)
  • A complete application packet will include:
    • Scholarship application form below
    • A 500-word or less personal statement that describes how an advanced degree will help you achieve your goals and further the goals of the ALAS mission and vision
    • Resume
    • Brief biography
    • Three (3) letters of recommendations including one from a professor or supervisor
    • Optional: Report Card with current and Cumulative GPA
