Salary:

Compensation will be based upon the proposed FY26 salary scale. CURRENT FY25 salary scale – $194,038 – $268,594 per year plus competitive benefits package

Prince William County Public Schools is seeking a dynamic and transformational leader to join our team. This individual will possess the skills and disposition necessary to make a significant positive impact on our school community.

Position Overview:

This position serves on the Superintendent’s staff, provides support and guidance to the Deputy Superintendent, Superintendent, and School Board. This individual supervises the organization, planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of the Department of Student Services and Post-Secondary Success (Offices of College Career and Student Support, Career and Technical Education, Student Health and Wellness, Nontraditional Education and Intervention, and Student Hearings Department) as it carries out its function of providing high-quality student-centered services to students, families, and schools. This position provides leadership and support to central office and building administrators in the implementation of Division policies and legal mandates related to student health and wellness, student attendance, post-secondary planning, counseling services, student discipline and due process matters.

Key Responsibilities (see job posting for full list):

  • Serves as the principal advisor and assistant to the Deputy Superintendent in the areas of student health and wellness, career and technical education, college career and student services, nontraditional education and intervention, and student discipline hearings.
  • Provides leadership, consultation, and direction regarding student health and wellness, career and technical education, college career and student services, nontraditional education and intervention, and student discipline hearings delivered to all students.
  • Makes presentations in assigned areas and is responsible for keeping the School Board informed of instructional and support activities.
  • Communicates the student services, nontraditional, and disciplinary activities of the School Division to community groups and organizations as appropriate.
  • Works closely with the Deputy Superintendent, Superintendent, Executive Cabinet members and School Board to implement policies and programs with Prince William County Public Schools

 

Requirements

This position is effective July 1, 2025, and will remain open until filled. An initial screening of applicants will take place at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, May 5, 2025. Applicants who apply after that date will only be screened and/or interviewed if a successful candidate is not selected from the applicant pool that applied prior to that date. An essential function of this position is the ability to work in person and physically report for work on site.

Minimum of 5 years previous successful administrative or supervisory experience in a growing school district, plus 3 years teaching experience.

Must hold or be eligible for a Virginia teaching license in Special Education with an endorsement in Administration and Supervision PK-12.
