Who You Are

A people person–that’s you! You are on the phone a lot; and are energized by cultivating great talent and understanding what drives and inspires others to do meaningful work. You are similarly energized by understanding candidates’ skill sets and matching them to specific organizational needs and roles. Your network is vast, and you enjoy networking and creating new connections every day. When you are not networking with others, you are behind the scenes masterminding an inclusive, equitable, evidence-based selection process that ensures candidates are vetted fairly and that their candidate experience is people-centered, clear, and engaging.

Knowing that your work supports a range of people and hiring needs, you excel in managing your time; you balance competing demands effectively and actively communicate with others who rely on you. You openly share your goals and ask for help when you need it so that work can be well-coordinated, especially in a virtual environment. You are an excellent project manager. The idea of working at a small and growing start-up excites you — you are comfortable with ambiguity, adjust to changing needs with agility, and readily roll up your sleeves to do what it takes.

Lastly, you love that your everyday work is in service to a mission that matters! You believe deeply in the power of education to change lives, and can’t wait to contribute your love of all things Talent to this cause.

To all of this, you bring:

  • A commitment to Transcend’s mission of transforming education, with a passion for creating extraordinary and equitable learning environments

  • A commitment to advancing diversity, equity, inclusion in your work

  • 3-5 years of prior work experience in recruitment, business development, partnerships, or fundraising, ideally in the field of K-12 education
