The West Chester Area School District (WCASD) seeks an outstanding educational leader to apply to be its new assistant superintendent of secondary schools. The board, superintendent, staff and community are looking for a seasoned educational leader with a proven track record of academic performance and innovation in the secondary environment.

The West Chester Area School District serves a 75-square-mile suburban, urban and rural region in central Chester County, Pennsylvania, known for its many diversified businesses and beautiful historic countryside. The district is comprised of West Chester Borough and the surrounding townships of East Goshen, West Goshen, East Bradford, West Whiteland, Westtown and Thornbury in Chester County, as well as Thornbury Township in Delaware County. The district, which is one of the highest-performing school districts in the commonwealth, serves a diverse population of learners and has a total student population of more than 12,000 students with three high schools and three middle schools.

The WCASD is offering a multiyear contract that features a regionally competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package. Candidates must possess a Pennsylvania Superintendent Letter of Eligibility and experience as a high school or middle school principal or have significant district- level leadership experience. The target date for employment is July 1, 2024. The deadline for applications is April 1, 2024, and the review process and interviews will begin shortly thereafter.

Salary range: $210,000 to $225,000
