Maine Educational Center for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing/Governor Baxter School for the Deaf (GBSD) – Falmouth, Maine

The Maine Educational Center for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing/Governor Baxter School for the Deaf (GBSD) Board of Directors seeks an outstanding Executive Director for this statewide organization serving approximately 872 deaf and hard of hearing children and their families throughout the state of Maine.

MECDHH/GBSD is charged with the provision of statewide services to individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing from birth through age twenty-two.

We are seeking an experienced educational leader with a strong commitment to our vision and mission. This leader must have strong communication skills and support a continuum of language and communication approaches for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing, as well as bilingual bimodal programming as part of the continuum of services.

A regionally competitive salary and benefits package will be offered. Applications accepted through April 2024. The new Executive Director will assume duties on or before July 1, 2024.
