Position Summary: 

The OKCPS’s vision for equity is a future in which social factors are not  predictive of student outcomes. The Executive Director of Equity,  Innovation, & Achievement (EDEIA) will be responsible for addressing  and advancing Educational Equity through the use of the Ten  Dimensions of Educational Equity. The EDEIA is a key leader  responsible for informing and advancing strategies based on the ten  dimensions of educational equity in OKCPS schools. The EDEIA is  responsible for supporting building leaders in setting educational equity  goals to address all students' achievement in OKCPS, focusing on  culturally and linguistically diverse students and families. The EDEIA  serves as an advisor and resource person for instructional leadership  for our ten dimensions of educational equity, including promising  practices in achieving diversity, equity, and inclusion goals for  implementing culturally responsive pedagogy and practice.  

The EDEIA will be the research and design leader, responsible for  identifying, implementing and scaling creative ideas that work  throughout the district, in partnership with our community. In addition,  The EDEIA will be responsible for setting the purpose, direction, and  strategic plan for Innovative Transformation Schools and serving as the  point-person for both innovation and equity Initiatives throughout the  District. The EDEIA will serve as the liaison between departments and  building leaders to ensure that the district’s vision, mission, and goals  are achieved through collaboration in service and support of the  schools. The EDEIA will be responsible for the successful  implementation of The 4 Levers of District Transformation to include:  Building Leadership Capacity, Instructional Infrastructure, Differentiated  Support & Accountability, and Talent Management, while progress  monitoring the district level systems using the District Transformation &  Conditions Rubric. The DTCR will be the tool that supports the EDEIA’s  efforts to assess the school district’s current reality and identify,  confront, and address their most pressing challenges. The EDEIA will  use the DTCR to spark reflection, dialogue, priority setting, and  adaptation as the district implements transformation initiatives. The  EDEIA will be the point-person for innovation and equity partnerships,  working with both the partnerships and the district leaders to ensure the  success of all students and the continuous improvement of schools.
