Head of School

Cedar Creek School | Ruston, Louisiana

Cedar Creek School of Ruston, Louisiana, is looking for our next Head of School to start between now and July 2023 depending on availability of the incoming Head.

About the School

Our school seeks to provide an outstanding college preparatory experience to students in North Central Louisiana based on the highest standards of academic excellence and integrity. We serve 700 students between pre-kindergarten and twelfth grade, offering a wide array of courses in core and elective subjects as well as extensive extracurricular and athletic programming.

In 1970, the founders of the school said: "The most important lesson ever to be taught is the reliance and belief in the teaching of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Although no such belief is required of any instructor or student, nevertheless, it has been and will remain the policy of Cedar Creek School to promote such Christian values, but acknowledge the existence of certain opposing views by others." This statement guides our school today.

About the Role

Over the next several years, we intend to prioritize several goals:

  • Improve pedagogy in order to provide the best education in the region

  • Recruit and retain extraordinary teachers by being an extraordinary place to work

  • Enliven communications within - and about - the school community to inform, engage, and build trust
