Portland Public Schools (PPS) is the largest school district in Oregon. We serve approximately 50,000 students in 81 schools and 29 special programs. Our student population is racially, linguistically, culturally, and socioeconomically diverse. Our District is committed to eliminating systemic racism and its impact on student learning. Portland Public Schools is seeking dynamic School Principals with a demonstrated record of improving student performance and who share our Vision, PPS reimagined. We seek candidates with a demonstrable commitment to racial equity and social justice. We want school leaders who have a commitment to working at a large urban school district and who have a demonstrated ability to develop creative solutions to eliminate achievement disparities.

Our principals are expected to be stewards of the District's reimagine Strategic Plan, vision, mission, goals and instructional initiatives.
