The Chesterfield County School Board seeks an outstanding educational leader to serve as Superintendent of Schools beginning on November 1, 2024. Chesterfield, Virginia is a place of incredible beauty with the James and Appomattox rivers forming much of its borders. The county is the location of Pocahontas State Park, which is rated among the top 10 campsites in the country. Chesterfield County’s central location is just south of Virginia’s capital, Richmond, and is convenient to interstates 95, 85 and 64.
Chesterfield County Public Schools (CCPS) continues to be cited as a model for excellence in public education, comprised of 67 schools, boasting a 100% accreditation rate, and serving approximately 64,000 students. Specific desired leadership characteristics and qualifications are expected to be available and posted on or around June 17, 2024. Candidates must possess or be immediately eligible for a Virginia DOE 8VAC20-23-630 Division Superintendent license. A multi-year contract will be offered with a salary in the range of $275,000 per annum subject to negotiation based on qualifications and experience.
