Candidates should possess excellent internal and external communication skills, demonstrate proactive decision-making and consensus building, and have a proven track record with strategies that will prepare students to thrive in a diverse, multicultural world.
The Lower Moreland Township School District is a highly regarded public school district located in Montgomery County, PA, twelve miles northeast of Center City, Philadelphia. Primarily a residential, upper-middle class community it has a population of nearly 13,000. In U.S. News 2023 Rankings of Best High Schools in America, Lower Moreland High School was ranked #765 nationally and #23 in Pennsylvania. Lower Moreland Township School District provides educational services to approximately 2,620 students in grades K-12 and is home to four schools; Pine Road Elementary (K-3), Murray Avenue School (4-6), Lower Moreland Middle School (7-8), and Lower Moreland High School for grades 9-12.
The LMTSD is offering a multiyear contract that features a regionally competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package. Candidates must possess a Pennsylvania Superintendent Letter of Eligibility, and Central and Building Level Administration experience is preferred. The target date for appointment is August 1, 2024.
