The Starkville Oktibbeha Consolidated School District Board of Trustees seeks an outstanding educational leader to serve as successor Superintendent of Schools beginning on or before July 1, 2022.
Located in the same town as Mississippi State University, Mississippi’s largest public university, Starkville Oktibbeha Consolidated School District is one of the largest school districts in the state, with a student enrollment of more than 5,200. SOCSD combines rigorous academic instruction with innovative technology in the classroom to develop the unique talents and interests of students through a diverse range of award-winning academic, artistic, athletic, and extra-curricular offerings to help them achieve their potential.*
SOCSD provides students with the ultimate learning environment, integrating hands-on opportunities with lessons in history, art, economics, foreign language, horticulture, literature, science, and mathematics. The board members are looking for an innovative leader who will partner with the supportive community to inspire students through rigorous and relevant learning experiences in every classroom in order to spark the flame of excellence in the students, preparing them to be college and career ready.
Specific desired leadership characteristics and qualifications are expected to be available and posted on or around March 15, 2022. Candidates must possess the proper certification or be immediately eligible to obtain the same.
