The Camas School District, Camas, Washington, Board of Directors, is seeking a highly qualified Superintendent. The Board wishes to have the successful candidate assume the responsibilities of the position July 1, 2022.
McPherson & Jacobson, L.L.C., Executive Recruitment, and Development has been engaged as the consultant in a search for outstanding candidates. They will assist the Board of Directors in identifying and screening the candidates.

The Camas School District is seeking a superintendent who embodies the following characteristics:
A mature leader with strong interpersonal and communications skills who will be a strong listener and has the ability to facilitate systemic communication that promotes strong relationships and brings the community together. A person who has proven success at navigating an organization through difficult or polarizing times.
One who values accessibility and transparency in all things and is trusted and truly approachable to all stakeholders. A leader is not a micromanager who empowers staff and students to be innovative and forward-thinking and encourages them to explore new opportunities and achieve at the highest levels.
An experienced leader with successful and strong, positive relationships with employee groups and outside organizations.
The new superintendent will be highly visible and engaged in the community and schools. A leader who has successful experience as a vocal and effective advocate for the District with elected officials and at the State level.
An educational leader who has a demonstrated record of innovation, collaborative problem solving, while holding everyone to the same high standards of accountability to achieve the Board’s goals.
A visionary leader with a strong understanding of teaching and learning, one who has a proven record of setting successful measurable goals utilizing best practices but maintaining a student focus. Someone who is committed to serving each student and has a focus upon UDL, SEL, and equitable best practices to ensure each student will reach their full potential.
Salary Range: $210,000 to $235,000
