School District of Osceola County, Florida - Kissimmee, Florida

The Osceola School District, a “B” rated school district that is on its way to an “A”, is in the heart of Central Florida with schools in Celebration, Kissimmee, St. Cloud, Poinciana, Harmony, and Kenansville.  The district provides academic instruction, rigor, and support each school day to more than 81,000 students in kindergarten through 12th grade in 52 schools and 25 charter schools and offers adult education.  The heart of the district remains the over 8,000 dedicated employees who work tirelessly to provide every child, every chance, every day.  Since 2016, Dr. Debra Pace has served as Superintendent of the Osceola School District and will retire in June 2023 so the district is searching for its next innovative leader. 

Required Qualifications 

  • Master’s Degree from an accredited institution

  • Ten (10) years of successful administrative/ leadership experience in education or business

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Doctorate Degree from an accredited institution

  • Experience in a district with 10,000 or more students

  • Experience as a teacher, school based or district level leader

  • Successful experience in a multi- cultural school district

  • Broad based understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems

The School Board of Osceola County, Florida is prepared to offer up to a three-year contract with a salary range of $215,000 – $300,000 commensurate with experience and qualifications, plus competitive benefits, and incentives. Candidates selected as finalists must be available for on-site interviews on June 5 and 6, 2023. The position start date and transition period will be subject to contract negotiations with the School Board.

  • Documents verifying current certifications, and a copy of college transcripts reflecting the highest degree held (copies of transcript are acceptable but official transcripts are required prior to employment)
