The Board of Education of the Seattle Public Schools (SPS) seeks a new superintendent to lead this highly regarded school district. SPS is the largest K-12 school district in the state of Washington serving 50,000+ students throughout the city. This diverse public school district has an elected seven-member Board committed to providing the best quality education for all their students.
SPS is working to dramatically improve academic and life outcomes for students by disrupting the legacies of racism in the educational system. This work supports a commitment to make sure every student graduates prepared for college, a career, and community participation. By actively becoming an anti-racist educational system – and ensuring students furthest away from educational justice thrive – conditions in Seattle Public Schools will improve for all.
