Essential Functions and Objectives:

Administers and manages activities within a specific area of responsibility. Serves as the subject matter expert and applies gained knowledge to execute, maintain and improve systems, programs, or processes.

Implements and monitors district-wide recruitment and retention strategies for various positions across the District. Assists with the design and delivery of campus, community and diversity-based recruiting activities for local, state, national, and international recruitment programs, including social media and marking campaigns in order to attract candidates and increase the District's visibility in the community. Responsible for supporting full-cycle recruiting, cold-calling, sourcing, and cultivation of candidates for positions across schools and departments. Researches and retains talented applicant pools and external partnerships to fill existing and future job openings.

  •  Develops, organizes, and implements campus, community, and diversity recruitment activities for local, state, national, and international recruitment initiatives; coordinates recruitment, including job fairs, open houses, and onboarding events, etc…

  • Identifies, recruits, sources, cold call passive candidates and cultivates talented candidates across schools and/or a variety of central offices and positions.

  • Collaborates with Human Resources Partners to monitor and meet client group recruitment objectives.

  • Compiles and creates data reports and other forms of recruitment and retention statistics; assists in the creation of a variety of state of the art recruitment communications (e.g. banners, advertisements, brochures, web content).

  • Conducts/performs recruitment efforts on a multi-year, full-cycle of recruitment and retention activities (e.g., identification, recruitment and placement) of highly qualified candidates.

  • Develops and nurtures relationships with customers, school principals, community constituents, and partners in Institutions of Higher Education; attends partnership meetings with Institutions of Higher Education, business, community and school partners and serves on school, community and business committees, councils and/or advisory groups.

  • Assesses recruitment and retention efforts and provides and implements suggestions for improvement; promotes diversity in recruitment efforts.

  • Reviews employment applications, evaluates applicant information (e.g., work experience, education and training, job skills) and interviews potential candidates for open positions or refers to hiring manager; refers hard to find candidates to hiring managers in the District.

  • Develops and implements an effective sourcing strategy, including social media campaigns, in order to promote the district's visibility in the community.

Knowledge, Experience & Other Qualifications:

  • Three (3) or more years of successful recruiting experience in public or private sector is required.

  • Fluency in Spanish/English is highly desired.

  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification is preferred.

  • Current knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and affirmative action guidelines and laws, (e.g., Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) is preferred 

  • Knowledge of State and Federal teacher and principal licensure and No Child Left Behind (NCLB) regulations is preferred.

  • Proficiency with Google Workspace.

  • Effective time management and organizational skills.

  • Effective communication skills.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Effectively handles multiple demands and competing deadlines.

  • The ability to take responsibility for one’s own performance.

  • Works collaboratively with others on a team as well as with staff at all levels.

  • Aptitude for variety and changing expectations in a fast-paced, high volume environment.

  • Ability for flexible work hours, including nights and weekends; up to 30% travel out of state.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field (or equivalent experience in lieu of education) is required.
