The School Board of Broward County, Florida is seeking a highly qualified visionary Superintendent to lead the District. The Superintendent will serve as a student oriented and a transformational leader who will successfully address the concerns and issues communicated by the entire school community and residents throughout the County. Broward County, a fully accredited school system that is located on the southeastern coast of Florida, is the second largest school system in the State and the sixth largest school system in the country. The graduating class of 2022 was awarded $142 million in scholarships. The District’s vision is to educate today’s students to succeed in tomorrow’s world. Location: Southeastern coast of Florida, Fort Lauderdale
Salary: Regionally competitive salary based upon experience and qualifications
The Qualifications
The candidate must have the background, skills, and abilities essential for excellence in educational leadership to include high expectations, being data driven and maintaining a culture of accountability throughout the District. Experience as a Superintendent or in a central office leadership position in a diverse, suburban/urban similarly sized District is preferred. Doctorate and Florida Superintendent certification – or eligibility for it – are required as is a preference for living in the County. An educational leader who is bi-lingual is desired. The Board is seeking a candidate with the following required characteristics:
