Students are drawn from the communities of Prior Lake, Savage, Credit River, and the Townships of Spring Lake, Sand Creek, and Cedar Lake. Prior Lake High School boasts a graduation rate of 98%, and 82% of those graduates matriculate to a two- or four-year college or university.

The community embraces the school district’s mission to “....educate all learners to reach their full potential as contributing and productive members of our ever-changing global community.” Prior Lake-Savage Area Schools is committed to providing equitable student opportunities through personalized learning and student engagement.

Guided by its strategic plan, the school district has a clear focus on how best to serve its students and communities. Local and state funding is augmented by the Laker Educational Foundation that provides additional financial support for creative and innovative educational programs and initiatives.
